Symphonic Band is the premier wind and percussion ensemble at RCHS, a select group of [primarily] tenth through twelfth graders that meets as a regular school-day class. These students will have the opportunity to perform challenging music representative of a wide swath of classic and contemporary wind-band literature. Students are expected to audition for the Continental League Honor Band, and have the chance to audition for several other honor bands and the highest achieving Juniors and Seniors may audition for All-State Band. In-class auditions will be held to determine the placement within the group. Members of this group are expected to be shining beacons of musical and academic achievement, being held strictly to CHSAA guidelines for student activities.
